We provide medical treatment and care for orphans in China, be it physical deformities or sicknesses. We strive to give them a restored life, just like what our Lord does for us; giving them a chance to be normal or near normal again and be adopted. Even if they are not adopted, they can still face tomorrow with confidence and hope.
We endeavor to be professional in providing effective and efficient end to end arrangement for all cases referred to us, so the below step-by-step process was developed and adopted. Isn’t this too tedious ? Yes, but this is necessary and crucial to ensure quality control and safe guard the interests of both our donors and children:
- Select and research all partners carefully before co-operation.
- Assess and evaluate all referred cases to ensure that they are medically feasible and genuine. Starfish Volunteers would usually visit these Orphanages, interview these children and the Orphanage Administrator.
- Present all evaluated cases to Board of Trustees for budget approval.
- Arrange and send the approved cases to the relevant medical teams and hospitals to receive treatment.
- Provide prayers for all children who are or have undergone surgery.
- Provide post operation care and nurture the children back to health before sending them back to the respective Orphanages to further recuperation.
- Follow up on the recovery of these children with subsequent field visits by self funded Volunteers.
- Reports would be provided to the Board of Trustees and uploaded to our website once the case has been completed.
